Make your next getaway an unforgettable experience at Brush Mountain Lodge. With soaring 30 foot ceilings, 900 sq ft of deck space, and a mountainside location, the timber frame lodge offers rustic elegance with luxurious amenities, spectacular mountain and valley views, and the peaceful sounds of crackling fireplaces, babbling brooks, and tweeting birds.
Enjoy four king suites and one queen suite, with additional options to sleep up to 25 guests (extra beds can be added to 4 of the bedrooms and the second floor open loft area -- each bedroom can sleep 2, 3, 4, 5, and 5 guests each, the second floor open loft area can sleep 6 -- we set up the extra beds for you with fresh linens and bath towels for all guests). Lodge guests can also include a lower level walkout apartment (additional rental fee applies) which offers 2-3 more bedrooms for up to 9 more guests and a full kitchen and bath. With this additional rental, don’t forget the champagne for your relaxing dip in the lower deck hot tub with 5 mile views. Note that this private Apartment, when not rented to guests who are renting the Lodge, is the Innkeeper's quarters for part of the year and has its own private entrance. While we (or a Lodge staff member) will typically be present to greet you upon your arrival and provide a key to the Lodge and provide answers to any questions you may have, your rental of the Lodge is private and the Lodge will be yours exclusively (no other guests or owners will be in the Lodge during your stay).
You, or your caterer, will enjoy the chef’s kitchen with commercial grade appliances for preparing meals and bringing your group together at the large 14+ seat dining table. Furniture can be rearranged and rented to create the perfect atmosphere for your event. The outdoor deck is large enough for intimate, seated ceremonies and includes a stunning stone wood burning fireplace for use year round with two more inside. There are TV’s in each bedroom, as well as in the large 2nd floor open loft area.
Bring your group together at Brush Mountain Lodge for holiday get-togethers, Penn State events, weddings, anniversaries, corporate retreats, club meetings, and yoga/wellness weekends. In close proximity to Tussey Mountain, Bald Eagle State Park, and Penns Creek, it’s also the perfect place for you and your friends to kick back in front of a roaring fire after chasing the great elusive trout, tearing up epic mountain biking trails, or trail running one of the many nearby trails (Purple Lizard trail maps are available in the Lodge).
While the lodge is your own private rental throughout your stay, our staff is available via text, phone, or email to help you connect with preferred caterers, rental shops, and more.
With the Lodge's mountaintop location, there isn't yet reliable wifi available, however Verizon and AT&T smart devices can access cell phone calling and 4G data/email in most areas of the Lodge.
