Italian Room
The Italian Room is dedicated to the Italian Family who bought the building in 1916 and later renovated it circa 1920. The room has a queen bed and a double bed, which makes it easy to accommodate a family. There are also 2 chairs and 2 bed stands with marble tops.
The Pujias arrived in America from Nicastro, Catanzaro, Italy, on May 22, 1894 and 1896. They bought the original building and operated a shoemaker shop. Some time later they purchased Ross's grocery store, which at that time was across the street, and moved it to this location. At that time they changed their name to Ross. They lived in the rear of the building. The grocery store was sold in November 1966.
The private bath has a 4 foot shower with bath accessories including a hair dryer. Guests robes and extra pillows are in the wardrobe. Wi-Fi and a Smart TV with many apps including Netflix, weather and web browser is in the room to keep you entertained. The TV is not connected to cable or satellite dish.
