Burnt Orange Martini

Red-orange is painted on the glass with metal twisted around the clear glass in the center.

Vlasta Vobornikova studied interior design and has been working in glass since 1990. She has worked with numerous Czech and International Glass manufacturers specializing in tabletop accessories and glass paintings. In 1990 she was the first artist to experiment with low temperature, water soluble and ecologically sound paints. An even bigger impact was the incorporation of metal into her designs. The resulting work was so different she was awarded a patent because of the "unique, original and complex technique of decoration." Only her studio is allowed to use and improve upon these techniques throughout the European Union. She has been recognized for her pioneering work in 2000 and was awarded in 2002 a special prize for art, give by the European Union in Brussels.
