Tiny Houses in Winter

For weather and staffing reasons, the Tiny Houses in Winter program differs from our typical Bed & Breakfast offerings in several key ways:

  • Tiny Houses in Winter stays include vegan breakfast foods provided in your tiny house (unlike Bed & Breakfast stays during our regular visitor season, which include a communal vegan breakfast in the Visitor Barn).
  • The Visitor Barn (which features educational exhibits, videos, and literature) is closed during the winter months.
  • The Farm Sanctuary Store is closed during the winter months.

Tiny Houses in Winter guests should plan for possible snow and definite cold weather*! Things to pack:

  • Tall, waterproof, and warm snow boots,  Hats, Gloves, Scarves

General Information

  • Our accommodations are open to our members. A member is anyone who has contributed at least $20 to Farm Sanctuary in the last year. If you are not a member but wish to stay at our accommodations, you can become a member with a donation of $20 or more at the time of reservation. If you make a reservation and are not yet a member, you will be charged a membership fee of $20. 
  • Check in: 4:00 p.m.
  • Check out: 12:00 p.m.
  • We can only accommodate companion animals in Amy's Tiny House 6 at this time. There is a $10 charge for companion animals that can be paid during the registration process. Companion animals are not permitted in  Turpentine's Tiny House 4 or Marjorie's Tiny House 5.
  • Each tiny house contains a queen bed and a full size futon and can accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. 
  • The tiny houses include a kitchenette and private bathroom. 

Because of our unique location and the limited number of accommodations, we must adhere to set policies with regard to cancellations. Reservations must be paid in full to confirm. If a cancellation occurs, the following refund policy will be strictly followed:

  • If a cancellation occurs 30 days or more prior to the start of the reservation, a full refund will be issued minus a $35 administrative fee.
  • If a cancellation occurs less than 30 days, but more than 7 days prior to the start of the reservation, a 50% refund will be issued.
  • Any cancellation made within 7 days of the start of the reservation is not eligible for any refund.
  • Cancellations are non-transferable.
  • In the event of a cancellation where some or all of the payment is not refundable per our policy, the payment will be used as a general donation to support all our work, and the gift will be tax deductible.
