Rooms
The Hartford House, a National Historic Landmark, was built in 1835 by Civil War General James S. Wadsworth and has been occupied by his descendants ever since. Located on a park-like 70 acre farm in the Village of Geneseo it is within walking distance of Main Street and SUNY Geneseo, and a short drive to Conesus Lake and Letchworth State Park. Included on the grounds are an organic vegetable farm and a Tennis and Croquet Club. Guests are invited to explore the grounds, receive a tour of the historic house, swim in our in-ground pool, play tennis on our Har-Tru court or learn our unique version of croquet.
