Policies

Check-in time 3:00 PM ~ Check-out Time 11:00 AM.

  • All rooms are air-conditioned and heated with private bathroom with a toliet and stand up shower. 
  • If you are checking in Sunday after 4pm, Monday, or Tuesday, check-in's must be scheduled in advance as the rest of our operations are closed during that time. We do not have a front desk and if you show up without scheduling your check-in, someone may not be here to check you in and there may be a delay. Call 717-426-4141 Wednesday-Sunday (until 3pm on Sunday) to schedule, or text 717-666-7141. We understand you may not arrive exactly at your scheduled check in time and can adjust accordingly the day of arrival.
  • Earlier check-in's may be added for additional fee. $10 for a 2pm check in, $25 for a 1pm check in.
  • Dog-friendly rooms are Room 8 & 9 only - the dog fee is $50 per dog, per visit. Dogs must be leashed outside of the rooms, and cannot be left unattended in rooms. If you require a dog sitter, we may be able to arrange for one locally. 
  • Railroad House Inn is a non-smoking facility. There is a smoker's area outside the double gates; smoking on the property and in the rooms is prohibited, and will result in an automatic $200 charge. No smoking on the balconies, it must be outside the property by the double gates.  
  • Railroad House Inn is located next to active frieght train tracks and you will hear the train, as the conductors are required to pull their horn at train crossings. The train schedule is not released to the public and we do provide earplugs.
  • Railroad House Inn reserves the right to charge your credit card for unforeseen cleaning and damages, to include but not limited to destruction of RRH property, excessive stains/tears/damages to linens, etc. We are a small business, and replacement of damaged items (such as sheets, towels, etc.) is a high expense, so if items are damaged or stained we will charge you for the replacement of our items. The biggest culpit of ruined towels is makeup- please use the dedicated makeup towel and makeup removal wipes. If you take your key home or forget to return it to us, there is an automatic $5 for replacement.  
  • Quiet time between 11 PM and 8 AM. This is an old building and noise can carry, please be respectful of other guests during quiet time hours.
  • Cancellation-Refund Policy: A full refund will be given if the cancellation is made 5 days prior to scheduled check-in. Cancellations made 5 to 2 days prior to scheduled check-in will receive a 50% refund of the room reservation. Rooms cancelled less than 48 hours in advance will be charged for full amount of the stay
  • RRH Inn is not responsible for any personal items left behind.
  • MAID GRATUITY NOT INCLUDED
    • Thelma has been cleaning the Railroad House Inn for over 25 years and works hard behind the scenes cleaning and preparing to make your visit comfortable. A suggested maid gratuity is $5.00 per day per room.
  • PARKING: Our parking lot is located across from the building on Perry Street. Street parking is free as well.
  • RAILROAD HOUSE INN RESTAURANT & EVENT VENUE: Our restaurant is open Wednesday-Saturday starting at 4pm, and Sunday 10am. Our hours vary according to business volume and occasionally closes due to large private events. Please check our website and social media for updates.
